Does anyone know the name of this movie?

It came out somewhere in the 80s-90s. About a sport scout who happened upon a boy who could run as fast as a cheetah? In the end of the movie during the credits it showed another guy running as fast as an ostrich..as if they were telling us there was going to be a sequel. So my question is what is the name of the movie and was there a sequel?
