Ipod touch question!!!?

I plan on buying an ipod touch after I sell my xbox 360 but I wanted to know can I still use the same itunes that I had for my nano......if so how do I put videos on my touch because my nano didn't play video and if I can't how do I keep the same music that I had in my old itunes into my new itunes (plz hlp!!!!)
