Why do repubs keep saying, "just wait next election and see how we win"?

Repubs have worked on the tactic of persuasion to try to get their way. They repeat something over and over again. Their belief is, if they do that long enough it becomes true in peoples minds. Their hope is that people are dumb enough to fall for it and vote their way and return to power. Only thing is they don`t realize people are smarter than they give us credit, thus your low approval example becomes the reality of it all. Sure is baffling why they just don`t put dignified tactics to work instead of always stooping to the gutter.
