How do you find the maximum height of a projectile launched from a catapult.?

I launched an object out of a catapult. The object landed on the ground 8 Meters away. From the ball leaving the catapult to lading 8m away it took 0.5 seconds. Vertical acceleration due to gravity is -9.81 m/s. How would i find the maximum height of the object?
